Positioned in the affordable luxury market, Chupi is stocked in leading department stores and independents across the UK and Ireland. The brand is export focused and with fans around the world from London to Tokyo plans to expand into the US the future is really exciting.
Everything we make is designed, manufactured and produced in Ireland, our tagline “Made in Ireland, loved everywhere” is hugely important to everything we do. We are looking for the right person to work with our brilliant team.
What you will do:
We are recruiting for a brilliant Production Assistant to join our growing team. You will have the experience and ambition to develop and achieve within a busy environment – with a brief to help ensure the smooth running of the production process, make jewellery to order and work closely with your colleagues. We are a small team so the ability to get involved in any aspect of the company if you are needed is essential.
You will report directly to our Creative Director with the role based in our Dublin 6 studio. You will work alongside our team in the studio, with our production manager in our Dublin 2 studio and the team in our retail store in Dublin 2.
Who you are:
You are incredibly organised, the kind of person who loves spreadsheets, process and making things perfect. As a kid you probably ordered your pencils by colour! We are a creative company, making jewellery in Ireland is a complicated business and we need someone who is excited by the thought of making that possible. Skills have as much value as qualifications, we want someone who has drive, enthusiasm and is willing to learn. What you have done in previous roles will be very influential, with production management experience a distinct advantage. We used cloud based software for all of our applications, including inventory management, you will need to be very comfortable with computers.
The successful candidate will be interested in design, ideally with some jewellery or making experience, on the job training will also be provided.
This is a predominantly a studio based role however you will be happy to interact with our lovely customers as and when required. This role is integral to our business and the successful candidate will need to act as a brand ambassador at all times.
Ability to work successfully in a cross functional team setting, as well as independently
Able to work to tight deadlines, but also set your own
Brilliant organisational skills with a love of detail
Experience and interest in business process management is very useful
Excellent computer skills, familiarity with Google Drive, Shopify, Xero, Dear Inventory would be a distinct advantage
Great communication skills, both written and oral
Coordinate with Production Manager to prioritise and schedule work orders to meet deadlines
Day to day running of production
Assist Production Manager in preparing production plan and budget
Complete daily assigned tasks to meet production volume and schedule
Ensure that work environment is maintained clean, safe and organised
Analyse root causes of production issues and develop corrective actions
Act as a link between our sales team and workshop
Track orders through to finish
Conduct quality control checks
General admin / process enquiries / book consultations
Daily communication with our retail store and workshop
Assist and support in all areas of the business
This is a full time salaried position based in Dublin 6 (subject to a probationary period). The studio hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday with the possibility of the occasional Saturday if required.
