Chupi Graphic Design & Photography Intern

Who we are:

Chupi is a multi-award winning jewellery brand founded in 2013 by former Topshop designer Chupi Sweetman. Irresistibly drawn to “wild and natural things” Chupi’s signature aesthetic includes casting from real feathers and leaves, creating a delicate fine jewellery collection made for your inner magpie. Positioned in the affordable luxury market, Chupi is stocked in leading department stores and independents across the UK and Ireland. The brand is export focused with fans around the world from London to Tokyo, and with plans to expand into the US the future is really exciting.

Everything we make is designed, manufactured and produced in Ireland, our tagline “Made in Ireland, loved everywhere” is hugely important to everything we do. We are looking for the right person to work with our brilliant team.

What you will do:

We are continuing our internship program and are looking for a Graphic Design & Photography Intern to join our growing team for a 3 month internship. You will have the experience and ambition to develop and achieve within a busy studio environment. Your role will involve working directly with our Illustrator/Graphic designer. We are a small team so the ability to get involved in any aspect of the company if you are needed is essential.

The role is based in our Dublin 6 studio. You will work alongside our team in the studio and the team in our retail store in Dublin 2.

Who you are:

You are a talented graphic designer who wants to work in a bustling design studio, you love taking photographs of everything from still life to moving image. You will work on our website and other online channels creating, uploading and managing content.

Proven skills have as much value as qualifications, we want someone who has drive, enthusiasm and is willing to learn. We used cloud based software for all of our applications so you will need to be very comfortable with computers.

This is a predominantly a studio based role however you will be happy to interact with our lovely customers as and when required. This role is integral to our business and the successful candidate will need to act as a brand ambassador at all times.

Skills:
  • Ability to work successfully in a cross functional team setting, as well as independently
  • Proven ability to create content across multiple channels
  • Able to work to tight deadlines, but also set own targets
  • Self sufficient when given a prescribed task
  • Fluency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred but not essential
  • Brilliant organisational skills with a love of detail
  • Great communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly spreadsheets. A strong familiarity with Google Drive would be a distinct advantage

    We don’t do worthless internships, we are a passionate company at the forefront of Irish Design who really care about what we do and how we do it. We are looking for someone who wants a brilliant, challenging, hard working experience working as part of a team. Some days will be quiet and some crazy, we hope you fancy the challenge.

    The role will be 9am-5pm Tuesday-Friday with the possibility of the occasional Monday or Saturday if required.

    The internship will be for 3 months.

    Expenses will be covered.
