Here at Chupi, we believe in the importance of recognising and continuously supporting one another in any way we can. Therefore we have put together a monthly blog in which we will highlight three brilliant women in business that we adore.

Introducing Alice Gabb, Lettering Artist & Banner Maker

Alice Gabb who is based in East London, designs beautiful stationery, signage and lettering. Her approach to lettering is very much centered around celebrating the ‘perfectly imperfect’, creating beauty and joy throughout her lettering.

Aside from this she leads various calligraphy workshops and delivers personalised hand lettering in-store for a few of London’s finest department stores.

Introducing Pearl Reddington, Contemporary Bespoke Knitwear

Pearl Reddington is a multi award-winning contemporary knitwear designer based in Ireland. Pearl was born into a family of artists, makers, and entrepreneurs and has been crafting since a young age. Pearl began her brand in Ireland in order to fill a niche in contemporary knitwear. Pearl’s ideology behind her design is that she puts herself at the centre of each design , with no compromise to her strong aseptic technique.

As a rising star in the Irish fashion landscape, Pearl is known for her instantly recognisable graphic knitwear, and a penchant for neon yellow.

Introducing Lisa McHugo from Lisa McHugo Illustrations

Lisa McHugo is an illustrator and our very own lead designer. Lisa designs and creates illustrated stationery, prints and custom portraits, available on her website. Her illustration style is influenced by mythology, magic and strong female characters.

Lisa began making and selling her stationery at Dublin Flea Market. She fell in love with the process and with the community of small businesses in Ireland. She has been creating new designs ever since.

Sustainability is very important to Lisa, so all of her cards and prints are printed on uncoated and unlaminated cardstock and are 100% compostable. Instead of plastic sleeves, her products are wrapped in tissue paper and shipped in cardboard mailers.
