Meet the latest couple in the Chupi Engagement Series : Christina & Peter. Christina tells us about her gorgeous engagement in Ashford Castle with the most beautiful Sparkle in the Wild Grey Diamond Ring.

I met Peter three and a half years ago. He had been working in Canada with friends of mine and when they got married, he came home for the wedding and that’s the day we met.

I walked into the chapel and sat in the aisle opposite him, I looked across and as cheesy as it sounds, I met his eyes and knew he was the one. I was thinking all through the mass what to say to him or how to start a conversation with him!

At the reception we met at the bar and hit it off. From then it’s been an absolute whirlwind. After 10 months of dating, we moved to Canada and made a home. We have since moved home to Ireland and on a recent trip around Mayo we spent our final night in Ashford Castle. It was such an unreal experience.

We got dressed up for lunch but took a quick walk around the gardens first. Peter kept pushing me ahead of him as he wanted to be down on one knee when I turned around but I kept holding his hand and embracing the romance of the grounds.

Peter put the most AMAZING Chupi Engagement Ring on my finger and I haven’t stopped looking at it since.

He finally let go of my grip and I walked up the steps in front of the fountain and when I turned around he was there, down on one knee and I instantly balled my eyes out! He said “You have made me the happiest man for three and a half years will you make me the happiest man for the rest of my life” I said yes!!!

He put the most AMAZING Chupi Engagement Ring on my finger and I haven’t stopped looking at it since. I had always wanted a Chupi Engagement Ring and followed the brand online, always hinting to Peter about it! He had saved a picture for a year and a half until we came home to specifically purchase the Sparkle in the Wild Grey Diamond ring.

When I look at my Engagement Ring , I see all the memories we have made so far and the excitement of what is to come.

I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect ring. Peter visited the Flagship Store in Powerscourt Townhouse and he was so happy with the incredibly helpful staff, especially Sarah! When Sarah asked Peter what my ring size was, he said that Sarah’s hands looked like mine so whatever size she was!

When I look at my Engagement Ring , I see all the memories we have made so far and the excitement of what is to come. We are so happy!! We have been looking at venues in Donegal where I am from and we are now living for the Wedding in July or August 2022.
