Meet the latest couple in The Chupi Engagement Series: Jessica & Ciarán. Jessica tells us about her gorgeous engagement with the
Crown of Love ring
and why choosing a
Chupi Engagement Ring
was so important for them.
We both worked in the same museum in England and a mutual friend set us up on a date! We went for drinks, got on brilliantly and were a couple from that night onwards.
Ciarán bought the Engagement Ring in February and got it delivered to his parent’s house to keep it a secret with a plan to propose on our anniversary in April. But then lockdown happened and the plans couldn’t go ahead!
I love the story behind Chupi pieces and that the pieces are inspired by nature. We both have Irish heritage therefore that they were handmade in Ireland was also special to us.
When we were finally allowed to meet them again he picked up the ring. The next day, we went for a sunny morning walk at Helen’s Bay, Northern Ireland which is close to where we live and ended up sitting on some rocks looking out to the sea after walking on the beach.
We had both moved to Belfast together a few months ago for new jobs and we were talking about all the positive changes that had happened as a result. It was then that Ciarán brought out
the ring
and proposed!
I’ve always known I wanted a
Chupi Engagement Ring
. I’ve loved Chupi for years and was so delighted when I saw the pink velvet box!
I love the story behind Chupi pieces and that the pieces are inspired by nature. We both have Irish heritage therefore that they were handmade in Ireland was also special to us. I wanted something unique and ethical, and the
Crown of Love ring
is perfect for this with the
hawthorn tree band and a beautifully distinct and delicate shape.
I don’t wear much jewellery therefore I wasn’t sure the exact type of ring that I would like or what would suit me. Ciarán chose
this ring
himself based on what he thought I would like and he’s picked brilliantly. The ring sparkles beautifully and suits my style. I’m keen to pair it with a Chupi wedding band such as the
Eternity is Too Short band.
My Engagement Ring
makes me excited, for me the ring represents celebration both of what we’ve done and achieved together over the past few years but also for what is to come in the future.
We’re still very much in the engagement bubble! We’re really excited to start putting plans together and visiting venues but enjoying this first part of engagement a lot at the moment.
